Nebraska Book Festival Writers’ Workshops Workshops bring together aspiring writers to learn how
to craft their work from an established professional. Through these conversations, participants
enrich their writing. Workshops are led by Nebraska-native facilitators.

Nebraska Writers Guild
The annual Fall Conference in held in the western half of the state.
The annual Spring Conference is held at Eugene Mahoney State Park,
between Omaha and Lincoln. Write Across Nebraska - WAN - is a state
wide event that happens each July.

Nebraska Writers Workshop
Primary Objective: To provide Omaha area writers of all genre and form the opportunity to come
together for mutual support, artistic growth, and non-credit learning at
no charge.
Secondary Objective: To teach writers of any genre or form how to objectively assess the art and

published.

Nebraska Literary Heritage Association (NLHA) An
organization that promotes works by and about Nebraska authors, past
and present through support of Lincoln City Libraries' Jane Pope
Geske Heritage Room of Nebraska Authors. A searchable database,
NebraskaAuthors.org, is offered
through a collaborative project with the UNL Center for Digital
Research in the Humanities.

Dedicated to promoting and supporting creativity, literary awareness, poetry and performance poetry within the Midwest.

A professional association for writers of all disciplines, literary agents, educators, publishers,

An organization for fans of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Official meetings usually take place on the first Thursday of each month, but activities
